Title:                    2022 Summer Intern - Engineering
Position:              Hourly Paid
Reports to:          VP of Engineering
Location:             Paducah, KY
 
Principal Responsibilities:
 
  • Assist with tracking and analyzing cost against budget on capital projects.
  • Assist in data analysis, modeling, trending, etc.
  • Assist the Port Engineer/Project Manager on repairs to vessels on dry dock.
  • Observe and follow all safety rules and procedures, including PPE. 
  • Travel to shipyards to support vessel repairs and project management.
  • Assist with trouble shooting & documenting critical machine breakdowns & processes.
  • Perform other duties and activities as directed by VP of Engineering.
 
Qualifications:
  • Seeking Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Basic knowledge of Mechanical Systems such as engines, fluid power, HVAC, etc.
  • Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • Working knowledge of Auto CAD or related Engineering Design software preferred.
  • Excellent driving record required using company vehicle.
