About Marquette IT:
Marquette has implemented a hybrid internal and outsourced IT solution which leverages the best of a small personal, internal IT team with the flexibility, resources and wider breadth of skillsets provided by IT specialty vendors. We currently support multiple networks, over 1,000 IT CIs/devices, 250 direct users and 1,200 indirect users. We directly work with over 85 software/IT service products and vendors.
 
Principal Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that Marquette’s IT systems support safe and secure daily business operations.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues in both an office environment and on-board vessels.
  • Assist with fleet-wide hardware upgrade projects.
  • Provide remote support for vessels and mobile customers.
  • Maintain an inventory of CI/IT devices.
  • Document support tasks performed in the IT Helpdesk system.
  • Other IT related duties and/or IT project tasks as assigned.
 
Qualifications:
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel to and work on-board vessels as needed.
  • Familiar with Microsoft applications, Operating systems, PCs, and related networks.
  • Experience with helpdesk systems, network devices, and connectivity is a plus.
