Marquette intends to repower up to (8) towboats with (16) diesel propulsion engines and (8) diesel generator engines with new Tier 3 engines with the objective to reduce emissions and improved air quality for fleet boats that operate in 5 river Parishes in Louisiana. This project is supported with a partnership with Louisiana Cleans Fuels (LCF) and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency through the Diesel Emissions Reduction Act grant.

Delivery and installation shall occur at Mississippi River System accessible shipyards located within reasonable access to towboats operating in the New Orleans to Baton Rouge corridor.
