The Vessel Management Team (VMT) Planner will lead planning and coordination efforts for their VMT. Reporting to the Vice President Vessel Operations, the VMT Planner will work closely with the Port Captain and each member of their VMT to proactively plan and execute activity in support of safe and productive operation of the vessels and crew assigned to their team.
Principal Responsibilities:

Manage the Operational Planning Process including appraisal, planning, execution and monitoring of VMT operations through the development, update, and distribution of Voyage Plans.

Midstream- coordinate and combine crew changes with other operational activities including fueling, repairs, supply deliveries, etc.

Monitor Voyage Plans for accuracy.

Distribute daily management and VMT report.

Serve as VMT point of contact for operations planning, communication, and coordination.

Represent VMT in communication and coordination with other internal departments, including sales and logistics, compliance and safety, engineering, accounting, purchasing, human resources and claims departments.

Work with other VMT members to monitor daily vessel logs, PowerBI analytics/Operations Balanced Scorecard and drive corrective actions to achieve desired results.

Coordinate fleet midstream activities.

Partner with VQSE and other members of the VMT to ensure that vessels are compliant with all government regulations and Company policies. Review status of certifications and schedule certification activities with external stakeholders.

Coordinate vessel response to minimize vessel down time.

Coordinate VMT input to development and updating of standardized VMT procedures.

Provide input into the development of VMT annual deliverables, including the Operations Strategic Business Plan, Safety & Environmental Performance Plan, and Audit Plan.

Serve as a utility player who can provide support across VMT roles as needed.

Travel as needed to vessels and shipyards in performance of duties, including out-of-town stays.
