Title:                Repair & Maintenance Coordinator
Position:         Full-time Salaried Exempt
Reports to:     VP – Engineering
Division:         Gulf-Inland
Location:        Harahan, LA

 
Principal Responsibilities:
  • Communicate with vessels, department staff and service vendors to help coordinate daily repair activities.
  • Enter and track daily maintenance activities in company’s computerized maintenance system.
  • Maintain daily flash report of ongoing repairs; participate in daily operations meeting to keep all departments updated on current repair activities.
  • Create work orders and keep updated with accurate and complete information.
  • Create purchase orders for all daily repair purchases, review invoices and coordinate with team to assure accurate information and correct pricing.
  • Maintain vessel inspection schedule and reports, communicating with team to insure timely completion.
  • Coordinate lube analysis program to make sure all samples are processed and any concerns are addressed.
  • Create history and trending reports on vessel equipment failures to help management make smart decisions.
  • Create and maintain miscellaneous department tracking spreadsheets, lists and reports, as directed.
  • Cross-train with other department staff for backup coverage.
  • Other duties, as assigned.
 Qualifications:
  • Familiar with industrial equipment with good mechanical/technical aptitude, preferred.
  • Experience in the marine workboat industry or related field, preferred.
  • Experience with computerized work order systems preferred.
  • Associate degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Accuracy, attention to detail and analytical skills are essential.
  • Proactive communicator with ability to gain all information necessary for completion of tasks.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to professionally interact with people at all levels of the organization, internal and external.
  • Team player.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office required.
